With 452 seats in the balcony and 756 on the orchestra level, the Capitol Theatre is perfect for larger productions. The balcony can be closed off for a more intimate setting, and its state-of-the-art rigging and acoustics make it great for high-quality performances.
Enjoy a beautiful view of downtown Chatham from the stylish Mainstreet Lounge. With elegant decor, a deluxe bar, and two spacious outdoor patios, it’s ideal for warm weather gatherings. It can seat up to 35 people and accommodate 75 standing.
This is our largest reception area, located on the lower level. Featuring beautiful pillars, a bar, and two serving areas, it can host up to 150 guests for a sit-down dinner and 250 for a standing reception.
The Kiwanis Theatre is a mid-sized venue with 615 seats, dedicated to offering high-quality professional programs and events. While mainly used for performing arts, the theatre is also a great space for lectures, film screenings, town hall meetings, and graduations. It features a proscenium (picture frame) stage with a wide apron at the front, providing a great experience for both performers and audiences.
Studio One at the Chatham Cultural Centre is a versatile space with a creative, inviting atmosphere. Featuring exposed brick walls, it’s a popular spot for receptions, small weddings, birthdays, showers, meetings, performances, marketplaces, lectures, films, and more. The room comes with a projector, sound system, and is fully licensed with bar service available upon request. It can accommodate up to 100 guests, though availability may be limited due to the Kiwanis Theatre’s schedule.
Half day Rental (4 hours max) – $160
Full day Rental (8 hours max) – $300

Event Insurance, no alcohol up to 100 guests – $25.50
Event Insurance, with alcohol up to 100 guests – $225
Max Capacity: 100 people
Rental includes tables, chairs, and kitchen access. Rental time includes setup and cleanup time. No building access allowed before the start of the rental booking window. Any rentals requiring access beyond a 4-hour block of time will automatically convert to a full-day rental. Hourly rental rates are not available.
All rates are approved by Chatham-Kent Municipal Council. HST not included.
Initial Inquiry – at least 3 months prior to the event

Confirmation & Holds – within 5–7 business days of inquiry
Our Coordinator of Client Services will be in touch to confirm availability and other details.
Contract & Payment – within 3–5 business days of confirmation
Upon confirmation of booking, we will provide a formal agreement to be signed and returned. Full payment for the rental will be due at this time.
Layout & Set Up – at least 2 weeks before the rental date
Complete and return the room setup page, indicating preferred room layout, approximate attendance, and ancillary items needed.
Certificate of Insurance Due – 2 weeks before the rental date
Confirm purchase of insurance coverage per contract requirements and terms of use.
Rental Date – day of rental
Building access begins per the pre-arranged rental schedule. Early access is not permitted. Connect with on-site facilities staff upon arrival and begin set up. Have fun!
Final Invoice – 5–10 business days post-rental
If additional expenses have been accrued, a final invoice outlining those expenses will be sent following the rental.
