Unhoused: Communities in Crisis
“I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all”
— Joni Mitchell
Houselessness has been no surprise to big cities, but to rural communities this crisis is fairly new. Some might say the real crisis is how they are handling it. UNHOUSED: Communities in Crisis is an intimate and in depth look at the complexities smaller municipalities in rural Canada are facing as they navigate balancing both sides of the crisis – those who find themselves unhoused, and the communities’ businesses and individuals close to encampments who are affected by the impact. For no matter which side, one finds themselves on-creative solutions must be found as we look towards the future!
Red Carpet and Doors Open at 6:30 pm
Film Screening at 7:30 pm
Free Admission – No Tickets Required.
Food Donations Requested for Outreach for Hunger: Rice, pasta, flour, oatmeal, coffee, tea, cereal and kids school snacks
